Construction Project Estimation

Repone offers several tiers of project estimation tailored to project needs and available documentation. This includes budgets taken from developmental or incomplete drawing sets, and lump-sum estimates from construction drawings.

Project estimation is as painstakingly detailed as our CPM schedules, which are in lockstep with the estimates. In scheduling jargon – Level 5 – or the highest level detail possible – from WBS to the activity level. Estimates can be used to develop scopes of work and work-packages for lockstep procurement programs. RepOne will complement any estimate with a project schedule upon request.

We are pleased to offer architectural project estimation in all specialty trades for the following types of projects:

  • Luxury residential and retail
  • Office & Commercial
Project Estimation is a collaborative efforts – done in concert with your team – such that your organization is involved and invested in the process and has input and feedback in every stage of project cost estimation. You set the project criteria, and we meet objectives together to produce the best possible estimates.

RepOne’s CPM project scheduling modules can be bundled with project estimation to create data-driven project control to the most complex and large scale projects – from USD $1M to $4B. Cost and resource tracking options are also available for all estimation and scheduling product.

The process of project estimation begins with your criteria, or what your needs are. A documentation review will determine what level of detail and precision can be achieved. The design documentation is uploaded into a digitized platform, and area, linear, and unit count takeoffs are quantified.

As the takeoffs are generated, the data is highlighted graphically, and parsed into working spreadsheets that calculate totals and subtotals that can be checked and cross referenced.

Estimate Oversight and Change Valuation

In addition to preparing our own estimates, RepOne acts as oversight agent to third-party estimates and change orders – determining if valuations are correct, and if a proposed change order is valid or not. Ownership should never rely solely on a general contractor or construction manager for oversight – indeed, their work should be subject to third-party oversight, as a measure of keeping all parties honest
